Financial Assistance for breast cancer patients

At CURE, we do not believe breast cancer patients should have to face the double burden of a health crisis and a financial crisis. Unfortunately, for many, the financial impact of a breast cancer diagnosis can be debilitating.

In 2018, a group of passionate, dedicated, and generous women came together to tackle this problem. The Costumes for CURE Committee mandate is to raise funds for financial assistance for low income women impacted by breast cancer. In a nod to October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the group’s primary fundraising event is a Halloween costume party ! 

The $89,000 in proceeds raised in 2018 were able to help 92 low income women impacted by breast cancer (26 patients in partnership with the Breast Cancer Support Fund, and 66 in partnership with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation).
