Did you know?
Many women who have had breast cancer detected it themselves.
That’s why it’s important to know your breasts, know your normal, and know what to look for that might be a sign of breast cancer.
Changes to your breasts can also be signs of less serious conditions that are not cancerous, such as an infection or a cyst.
80% of lumps are not cancerous.
But the earlier breast cancer is found and diagnosed, the better the chances of beating it.
So know your normal, contact a health professional when something is not, and be your own best ally.
CURE Foundation's dedication to investing funds raised in cutting-edge treatments, innovative research, and support projects aims to enhance healthcare outcomes for all breast cancer patients in Canada. CURE strives to improve the quality of care and overall well-being of Canadians facing breast cancer.

"One in eight women in Canada will develop breast cancer within their lifetime, with 10-20% of those cancers being triple-negative, an aggressive and highly therapy-resistant subtype. There is an urgent need to better understand the biology behind triple-negative breast cancer and finding targets to exploit for new treatments. We hope our research contributes to the fight against breast cancer through identifying new targets for therapy."
