Breast Cancer Support Fund

The Breast Cancer Support Fund is a national charity providing financial assistance to breast cancer patients living in poverty while they are in treatment by helping them pay for groceries, rent, utilities, medications, transportation to treatment centres and critical childcare!

The Truth about breast cancer is that the financial burden can be just as devastating as the physical and emotional impact. This is why the Breast Cancer Support Fund (BCSF) exists : to bridge the gap between the financial reality faced by breast cancer patients and the limited financial assistance available !

Cancer-related out-of-pocket expense such as medication, transportation, prosthetics, wigs, food, restorative therapies, and medical devices add to the burden for patients who are sick, vulnerable and fighting for their lives.

The BCSF is one of the only national organizations actively addressing the devastating economic impact of breast cancer ! Millions of dollars are raised in the name of breast cancer and directed to research and education every year, while many patients struggle to meet expenses related to their diagnosis and treatment.

  • More than 75% of the patients supported live on less than $25,000 per year; many have young children at home.
  • 78% of patients are between 40 and 60 years of age
  • 25% of the patients supported are living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer and 2/3 of these women have children under the age of 16.

Our goal, with the help of our supporters, is to be a leader in raising awareness of this crisis, while striving to build a community of support around this issue.

Thank you to the CURE Foundation for being a supportive partner since 2012.

Together, we are making a difference!
